Biography
The young pianist Georgiana Pletea was born in 1993 in Bucharest. She started to study the piano at the age of 7 with Gabriela Enasescu and she continued her studies with Elisa Barzescu. Since 2012 she has been the student in the class of Adrian Oetiker at the Music Academy in Basel and in 2015 she was awarded her Bachelor Diploma as well as her Master of Pedagogy Diploma in 2017 with the excellent performance and score. Currently she is studying in the Master of Arts in Specialized Musical Performance – Soloist.
Georgiana Pletea is supported by the Henri Coandă and Remember Enescu foundations and she gained the 1st place in many competitions, among which the ”Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart” Instrument Performance Competition – Târgoviște, the Romanian National Olympics for Music, the “CARL CZERNY” International Piano Competition – Piatra-Neamţ, the “Pro Piano” International Competition – Bucharest, Concorso Argento – Gioia del Colle Italy and the “Sigismund Toduță” International Competition– Deva.
Georgiana Pletea has achieved a valuable experience in concerts, such as the “Remember Enescu” National Festival – Brașov, the Romanian Athenaeum – Bucharest, the Chopin 200 International Festival or the World Music Concert – City Hall Brisbane Australia and many others. In 2015 she was a soloist, together with the Basel Symphony Orchestra in the final concerts of the Basel Music Academy.
In her master degree studies, Georgiana attended the classes of renowned professors, such as Roger Vignoles, Susan Tomes, Johannes Meissl and Homero Francesch.
